Pre-Kindergarten
Ages 4-5
Our Pre-K program is offered Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00am - 11:30 am. The Pre-K class promotes kindergarten readiness, independence and social skills. Students in our pre-k program will learn about a letter and letter sound each week. They will also focus on a number. They will learn to read and write their names and recognize environmental print. Students will learn concepts such as rhyming, patterns, sorting, problem solving and STEM. Our class engages in morning meeting, circle time, snack, outside playtime, fine and gross motor skills and music and movement.
Weekly themes
Each program consists of its own weekly theme, so that your child has something new to anticipate each coming week.
Hands-on activities
Our activities are designed to keep your child engaged, whether it’s learning about arctic animals or making a pattern.
Learning through making and moving
Students learn through engaging in real life experiences, practicing and talking with their peers. At Lakeside Nursery, lessons are differentiated for all types of learners. Each day we move our bodies, sing songs, learn through social interactions and so much more!
